Apprenticeships

We at McComb Partnership Ltd are keen believers in training the next generation to accomplish their full potential as Professional Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers.  We are keen to follow the Government initiative in regards to employing Apprentices through a National Apprenticeship Service, we currently use Middleton Murray a local recruitment agency based in Sidcup.

We aspire to:-

• Help young people into work
• Avoid skill shortages.
• Provide practical experience.
• Provide academic training.
• Pass down acquired expertise and skills sets learnt by generations of Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers.
• Use Apprentices fresh talent to develop motivated, skilled and a professionally qualified workforce.

Our current apprentice has been with us since November 2015; in his own words read his reflection on working at McComb Partnership Ltd:

”I moved to McCombs with only three weeks worth of experience in the world of work under my belt, and I didn’t have much idea about the world of surveying beforehand, so going into the apprenticeship I was a bit daunted. However, I was made to feel at home straight away and I’ve learnt a lot from the team within the office. Whether it’s in-house, bespoke office systems or general office etiquette. Since learning the basics, I have progressed to improve my IT knowledge on Microsoft Office, the internet and bespoke measuring software, as well as generally learning more and more about the industry every day. As a result of my time here I really feel that I’ve learnt and gained a lot of transferrable skills which should come in useful when I progress to a higher role within the company.”
