KCC – TWGSfB Annexe

MPL provided Quantity Surveyor services from RIBA Stage 2 to completion for the Kent County Council on the Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys Sevenoaks Annexe project. Delivering a 4,000m² new-build grammar school annexe in addition to the fit-out of existing shell and core, the scheme also provided two all-weather pitches, and a MUGA to support the opening of a 3 form entry annexe over 7,000+m2. MPL provided the initial project Feasibility, which was within 10% of the final project out-turn costs, providing a great example of the benefits that detailed cost planning bring at every stage of a project. Once a Contractor had been appointed, MPL supported the development of a cost-effective design during the PCSA phase, ensuring value for money through a detailed Stage 2 tender review, and managed variation evaluations during construction. The scheme was delivered within budget, despite COVID19 challenges and a 76week programme.
